Madonna, Material Girl, has shared her thought when she heard the “Born This Way” song for the first time in an interview. Madonna feels that Lady Gaga’s popular hit “Born This Way” which is also self-empowerment anthem is similar to her pop single “Express Yourself”.
Madonna calls the similarity between her song “Express Yourself” and Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” as a redo. Therefore, that’s sort of backhanded. Madonna also shared her interest to Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” song. Since she is overt, Madonna isn’t taking a swipe and being catty at Lady Gaga but asserting her dominance in a subtle way.

Lady Gaga defended herself from the rip-off claim “retarded” by explaining that the only similarities between songs are the chord progression when someone puts the songs next to each other and side by side.
