Jaden Christopher Syre Smith, or commonly known as Jaden Smith is the son of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith and currently become one of Hollywood’s famous young actors thanks to his great talent in acting.

Jaden Smith was born in Malibu on July 8, 1998. He has an older brother, Trey Smith and a younger sister, Willow Smith.

Jayden Smith did not take the common education path and choose to undergo the homeshooling education instead. Although homeschooling is his major educational path, Jayden also attend the New Village Leadership Academy. The Academy was actually co-founded by his parents and located in the Los Angeles suburb of Calabasas.

Jayden Smith Career

Jayden Smith’s success career can be said influenced by his father indirectly. It can not be denied that it is thanks to his father’s great name that Jayden can penetrate the Hollywood movie industry but Jaden’s natural talent and charisma also play great role for his success.

Jayden acting career started in 2003 when he play as “Reggie” in “All of U.S.” sitcom which was produced by her father, Will Smith. In the sitcom Jayden only appeared in 6 episodes and have not gotten the attention of the public.

His success began when he was playing the character of Christopher Gardner, Jr. in the “The Pursuit of Happiness” movie in 2006. In this film which was released by Sony Pictures Jayden playing as his father’s child and managed to portray her role really well and even won an award as the Best Breakthrough Performance at the 2007 MTV Movie Awards. Although Will Smith said that Jayden’s participation in this film is purely the result of Jayden’s own effort but some critics still say that the great name of Will Smith also played a part in the election of Jayden to act in this movie.

As an actor, Jayden’s acting abilities and talents was proved again through the “The Day the Earth Stood Still (2008)” and “The Karate Kid (2010)” movies. His acting in both movies, although not as good as in the “The Pursuit of Happiness” movie, still get positive responses and he also made his name more known in the Hollywood movie industry.

Aside from being an actor, Jayden Smith is also a singer and a rapper. His ability as a singer and a rapper in shown when he sing the “Never Say Never (2011)” song together with the famous young singer from Canada, Justin Bieber.
